So... I just finished up dishes after the party which was after the new years mass... Fantastic and fun.
At the new years adoration there were packed rooms dense with people and many people even stayed outside in the cold just to be apart of it all. Just before mass, I realised I could be in times square, though without sorrow, and instead joy for being in a place I felt loved and at peace... The catholic times square that spans the globe... The anticipation not of some ball dropping but of our saviour coming back into the world in the eucharist. What's better than awaiting joyfully the first time you can celebrate Him in a new year?
